Default Grinding noise on full lock -is250 awd

I looked the the "FAQ" thread couldn't find info...

Anyways, I recently picked up an is250 awd and I notices during full lock turns, it sounds like grids and bucks. Car drives fine and no abnormal noise coming from suspension but if I was to back
My car up with the steering wheel in full look, it feels like something is stopping the wheels from
Moving! Very annoying..

I do realize specially on trucks equipped with 4wd that this kind of grinding/binding is some what normal due to the centerdiff/transfer case trying to transmit power axle to axle due to un equal amount of wheelspin.

I've driven subarus all
My life which obviously real time symmetrical awd system and never had this happen..

Anybody want to chime on this? It's a 06 is250 with 42k miles

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advanced!

On to-lock turns my 2008 IS-250 bucks and wheels hop a bit. It is due to the binding of the AWD and from what I've know over the years with all the Toyota AWD's I've had, is normal.

I hear that too any my car as well but was not bothered by it. I too think it's from the the differentials when it happends. I notice it if I were doing full turn lock in reverse than if I were to do it going fowards.

I noticed the same thing when I put the car in reverse. Today we got a lot of snow so when I was backing up I can feel the car shaking and there's a loud noise while I'm backing up. I'm thinking maybe it has to do with my tires? I also have the factory all season Bridgestone tires.

I have the same thing--don't worry it is a toyota thing. My 4x4s have always done it too.

Does this increase with larger wheels? I hardly noticed it with the stock 17's and now more so with 18's.

Anything we can do to eliminate or decrease it?
