Don't mean to bring this back from the dead, but I bought IS-F tails today from James/fr0st and installed them tonight with the aide of this DIY. This is hands down one of the most comprehensive and informative DIY I have ever come across in all my years of forums on G35Driver, Bimmerforums, CL, etc.

With that being said, this install took me about half an hour, and its only because I'm not very mechanically inclined and didn't want to risk breaking anything (which I didn't). The hardest part is disconnecting and reconnecting the large and small connectors.

Thanks Brian! And James for the tails.

Sewell has them for almost $600 now. Anyone know where I can pick them up for cheaper than that?

Yes. Are you trying to apply amber corners to the IS-F?

Most likely. I've heard anectodes of people not needing a new harness, but I did in my '06.

I updated the DIY to clarify some of the steps and added instructions on how to remove the inner tail lights.
