IM ALSO CAVED AND BOUGHT THE WALD REAR, SO I AM ALSO GOING TO WRAP THE CENTER SECTION OF THE LIP IN CARBON FIBER, ILL KEEP EVERYONE POSTED ON PROGRESS!!
Alright, so I decided NOT to go ***** out with the carbon fiber on my car. I was originally going to go with the Seibon sides or Element 114 but I decided to go a different route. I ordered the Wald sides today(not replica ). I am going to do something a little different though....I am going to take the center section of the side and make a mold and then wrap the mold with carbon fiber and trim it down....clear it...wet sand...yadda yadda...etc.. So the whole center section of the wald sides will be carbon fiber. I will also be doing all the work myself, I do composites for a living so should be a fairly easy project for me! I'm going to dedicate this thread to the project. I'll keep everyone posted on the process and post pics as I go, should start everything as soon as I get my stuff within the next week.

This idea is FTW. If it turns out well, don't be surprised if members start pinging you to apply CF overlay to their parts.

lol, yea...I am actually going to be starting a business sometime in january for carbon fiber parts so this will be the " Michael Angelo " of parts to show haha.

Sounds good and will be subtle. I like that, and it will go with your theme. Start doing CF interior stuff and you'll get a lot of customers.

You guys think I should go with the Carbon Fiber Trunk and the Black Wald Spoiler or vise versa....OEM Trunk w/ Wald wrapped in CF......?
