Default Linea corse lc818 performance

Hello guys,
Some of you know im getting the lc818 in a month! The Lc818 are lighter than stock rims but they are 19's. Would the performance of the car degrade from 19 inch rims (slower, ride quality, handling)?
Thanks

hmm maybe better performance due to lighter wheels & wider tires. might be noticeable if its my 2IS cos my stock wheels are 16s

It's not an LC818 question, its a question of characteristics between 18" and 19" wheels.

The short answer is that you won't feel any difference with normal driving.

Heyproject,
Im a noob when it comes to wheels and tires. Can you be more specific? Size of tires, thickness, thin, grip?

He's saying that your choice of tires, rather than 18 vs 19 in. wheel, will have a more noticeable impact on performance.

I wouldn't lose any sleep over this - you won't notice the difference.

The most important factor when it comes into handling are the tires you have. You can have a 12 pot BBK, KW coilovers, every chassis brace ever created and a roll cage, but if you dont have good tires you wont be able to put all that stuff into use. Tires are is the first thing that comes in contact with the road. Get your self a good set of tires and you'll notice a huge difference.

road noise, tramlining, dry/wet traction, wear...

between different-branded (and sometimes even same-branded) tires, there IS a difference.

Allow me to clarify: The OP was asking if there would be a noticeable difference between his 18" wheels and LC818s. My reply is that there is not enough of a difference to notice, and that it is actually the tires that will provide the most change.

Do you mean Falkens?

It all depends on what kind of driving you do. Summer? Rain? Snow? Grocery-getter? Track car?

opinions are great, but they will vary from one person to another. some will swear by brands that others will bash just as quickly. what you end up with is a mixed bag, which may lead to paralysis by analysis (indecision).

this is where RESEARCH (emphasis on the last six letters ) is involved. the more quality information you have, the easier it is to determine what you want and don't want.

you can also try the trial-and-error method, but that's just expensive (and stupid, depending on who you ask).

btw, CL has a tires and wheels section you should look at:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/the...akes-forum-76/

i also agree with montgb regarding the difference in wheels.
