Default Sunroof Issues

This morning on my way to the office I opened my sunroof into the tilt position by turning the sunroof control dial to tilt. When I got to my office I turned the dial back to the closed position and it did not work. After playing with the dial I concluded that none of the automatic positions work. If I turn the dial to the fully open position and hold it there the sunroof will open. If I put the dial in the closed position and hold it in the sunroof will move into the closed position and continue until it is in the opened tilt position.

Has anyone expiorenced this? Any solutions? I disconnected the battery for about 15min in hope of something being reset but the problem was not corrected.

Any advice would be appreciated.

i was having sunroof problems as well, but with mine i couldn't close it completely. i would open it and then turn the dial to the closed position and it would start to close but right before closing it would stop. i took it to the dealer and they had to reprogram it luckily it was under warranty.

did you make sure nothing was obstructing the track to keep it from closing all the way?

sometimes the auto functions stop working. You have to put it to the closed position and just push it in and hold it. It will open all the way and then close all the way. Then let go and do it again, then let go and do it a 3rd time. After the 3rd time, you should be good to go

I am also having issues with my sunroof closing. I have to hold down the black bar for it to close. It is at the dealership now for the valve, so hopefully they fix it!

i've had a problem where i would open the sunroof and when i had to close it, it would go about halfway then stop and re-open again...it was weird but i did the same thing you do to reset the windows and the problem was fixed... idk if it was just a coincidence though.
