Default Fog light assembly seems to be loose...?

Hey all,

I was about to put on the new overlays I bought for my fog lights. However, when I was cleaning it, I notice that both assemblies will wobble as I clean it.

Before I put the overlays on, I just want to make sure that this is normal. I've had a whole assembly swapped out because of condensation. So I'm not sure if its because they didn't install it nice and tight or if this is normal.

Thanks!

its pretty normal. the fogs are only held in by 2 "clips" on one side and a "clip" and a screw on the other. i took them apart to black them out n saw this. the reason why i say "clip" is cause its more like a plastic pin that fits into a hole on the inside of the bumper. so yeah the fogs do move a little bit.

^ what he said, they will move a little bit, but it shouldn't feel super loose

on my car the side that isn't screwed in actually broke, because of hitting some debris on the freeway fml, i epoxy'd it back together and its fine now, you can tell easily if you peak through the fender liner if its bolted down properly

Thanks for the heads up!

Overlays are easier to do for me...also offers *some* protection to the housing... I hope.

Yup, there should be a little big of give, but not a whole lot. My whole damn fog popped backwards into the car, turned out one of the clips broke.

What are you doing to it? Encresting it with diamonds and gems?

Their last post was 7 years ago. Dont hold your breath!

Go to the Morimoto website, they sell some products for protecting lenses.
