Anyone notice that the 12v charging pot in the center console is too close to the top of the sliding cover so there is pretty much no room to plug a car charger in?

I tried plugging in my cell phone car charger but I can't close the center console lid because the charger sticks up too high which blocks the sliding lid from coming down.

Anyone else have this problem?
Anyone know of like an L shaped/90 degree adapter or something so you can plug in horizontally instead of vertically?

There is the cig lighter by the ashtray that is obviously wide open but I like to have things concealed in the console instead of hanging out.

^^^ My iPod charger is l-shaped/90 degrees. Fits fine, but I agree that the charger positioning is aggravating.

I ran into the same problem with my phone charger. Luckily my bluetooth 12v charger was small enough to fit and be able to close the lid so I just use that to charge my phone (both use a mini usb connection). Obviously not well though out by the engineers at Lexus. Maybe head over to radio shack and see if there is a charger that is small enough to do the job.

I have a Belkin iPhone charger in mine it fits perfect and you can close the console too.

Ideally I would still like to find an angled adapter because I bought a dual usb car charger so I could charge both my phone and ipod from the center console and not use the cig lighter but I can't seem to find any adapter like that so I guess I will just have to live the single nano charger for now

This is a change they made to the 09's+ (maybe '08s?)... the power outlet in the center console sits deeper than in the '06 - '08.

I have not explored the option of switching the pieces out, but it might be possible to do.

Amazon reseller, I have this and it fits. Blue LED is blindingly bright, but once the console is closed I could care less. Oh and the adhesive mount is useless.

I have an iGo from Radio Shack. Fits perfectly and has multiple adapters for different phones (the wife and I need different connectors). No annoying lights either.
