Long story short what are you guys using to lift the car so you can do the oil change?
So I recently bought a 2007 IS250 RWD 6MT. I like the car and have been enjoying it ever since September.
Now it is time for the oil change and I'm used to doing these myself. Doesn't seem that complicated. I bought a filter from the local Lexus dealership and got ready to do this.
When I went to lift my car I used the points behind the front tires that has the notches, where you would typically lift if changing a flat front tire. I used a Craftsman 4 ton low profile floor jack. I heard a loud pop and lowered it only to find that the metal underneath the car began tearing from the pressure. Not good. Pics attached.

Pretty much this, Rhino Ramp's I think is what a friend uses. Purchased off of Amazon for a bit less too, no tax, fre shipping. Or you can do it the "ghetto" way and use your driveway to "ramp" the front right tire giving you enough room to slide under.

it might not be friendly depending on how low your car is!!! low profile jack with some block of wood ftw. the front pinch wells on the isx50 are very weak so you have to do it by the frame such as edgeucated explained. you can jack the rear pinch wells though with no flex. i have no clue why they made it like that but thats what it is.

+1 on jacking it on the frame. I have a low profile jack that reaches almost half way through the other side of the car heheeheheee. I do however put the stands on those tho and try to lower it slowly.

The pinch welds are for stock jack only
the frame is not to be used for floor jack....it will dent in...it isnt designed for that type of load....a floor jack will cause a lot a pressure concentrated in a small area=dent in frame. frame rails should only be used for lift, (2post, in ground etc, where load is spread)
for a floor jack u need to use engine cross member for front and diff for rear.

It's in the Owners Manual people......
The OEM pantograph jack, is the only jack you should use on the this side rails..
Usually and only for emergency tire change situations
If your car is too low for a low profile jack, drive onto a strong piece of wood.
