Being that that's pretty close to what you'd get for selling both on ebay, those seem like fair prices.

Can we send our lights in first for the credit to be taken off of the price of the lights?

Like Darrel said, after you get the new one, and just send the old ones in for core credit

Here are my 2011 Headlights. Looked through this entire thread to see if anyone knew what the exact color temp of the LEDs are, but didn't find an answer. I think that they look like 5000k, but not sure. Any ideas or has anyone found what the exact color is?

Default Halogen to HID 2011 headlights from Sewell - manual level adjustment not available

Hey guys, I've just installed the Halogen to HID 2011 headlight from Sewell - it looks great with the LED strip and all...

One problem though - I've lost the ability to manually level the headlights from the manual headlight levelling dial on the dash - which was working previously for my old 2006 halogen headlights.

It's not too much of a problem at the moment because it appears to be set at the lowest level (i.e. setting 0). However, if I were to have a full car and/or be carrying cargo in the trunk then the headlights would obviously pitch upwards at oncoming traffic. I would then have no easy means of adjusting the tilt of the HID headlights.

I've read in this thread that auto headlight levelling is available on the 2011 headlights. I assume that this is managed through the AFS computer, which is not available on my vehicle. Surely it must be the same inputs or wires to control the servos/motors that guide the pitch of the headlights? (i.e. the manual headlight level adjustment dial should send the same commands to the servos/motors and operate in the same way - but manually).

So why is the manual headlight level adjustment not working?

What am I missing here? Has anyone else experienced this? Help!!!

The only thing thats plug and play is the outside main connection to headlight, you have to either buy a new set of ballast or reuse your old ones, which means you have to cut the 2 wires that plug to the back of the hid bulb and reconnect them, ( at least i had to do on mine because theres no way to remove the bulb connection out of the old headlights without cutting it ) i had the AFS. Also you have to cut around the headlight brackets where the new headlights have a bigger bulge on the bottom and wont fit properly with the old brackets. its really not hard at all, just time consuming...however i wish sewell would mention that on their site..if you get them, let me know if you have any questions on it.

Hi, Deathrow, So have you installed the NEw MY11 LED head lamp on ur IS ?
Iam planing to purchase the lights from Sewell, HID-HID, my car is 2008 model, can you list what modifications you needed to do in order to make it fit on ur car?
(ALSO are you experiencing the NEW head light bubbling issue mentioned on other threads ?)

Thanks!

Yes i installed it on my 07' last week, i havent check the bubbling issue. See my previous post for list of what to do. all you need is to do is buy new ballast or reuse your old ones, and cut out a part of the old brackets in order to fit it on the new headlights..just those two things...

Call me crazy, but what manual leveling dial are you referring to? You had factory equipped halogen lights? I don't think I even have this leveling dial you speak of. I have an '06 250 w/ factory halogen that I upgraded to the '11 HIDs w/ LED.

The LEDs on DRL brightness look like something in between 4300k and 5000k in person to me. Not sure the exact color or even how to find out.
