Default Cant turn off stability control or overide the NAV system

I tried the parking break/foot break steps to turn of the stability control, and also tried to overide the NAV by pressing the volume button in menu then doing then touching the screen top left and right twice....could lexus have found a way to stop the override of these features???

Do you have an '06? Have you been to the dealer recently?

It's possible the dealer upgraded the Nav since there's a TSIB out for it, and the "upgrade" disables the override feature.

The pedal dance should still be there though. Read the sequence carefully, you have to do it exactly.

it's up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, start.

"as it states in the 2006 avalon owners manual ....start the car with the parking prake on ....then foot brake twice....(keep the foot brake down)....then parking brake twice (keep it down )and repeat till skid light is on the dash.....it will reset when you restart the car"

^ Parking brake should be on as you start the car.

OP: Make sure you hold the foot brake down on the 2nd press (i.e. don't push it twice, then push and hold for a 3rd time). AFAIK, there's no disabling the pedal dance, so you're probably getting the sequence wrong. Maybe go to a CL meet and see if a member can help you.

^ When you say nav hack are you referring to the software override, or the wire cutting method? "Nav hack" usually refers to the latter.

I think he wants to disable the traction control, not start with 30 lives.
