Default All warning lights on

2009 Lexus IS 250 driving well, then turned into gas station when all warning lights turned on and lost power steering. Pumped gas but car would not start. Got a jump, car started right up, but when I put it into drive, the dash board started flashing on/off and all warning lights on. I was able to move it to a parking space directly in front of pump but without power steering. Had to have car towed. Any ideas on the problem?

Any updates on your situation? Did you get the codes pulled? Possible engine stall or alternator failed?

Does it crank but not turn over? If so, it could be your fuel pump. You didn't mention your mileage but we just replaced ours with 151k on the odometer.

I decided to install a new battery and it worked! Car runs fine. It has a strange hum when not in gear but other than that it runs great. I’m so glad!

Immediately get your alternator checked! Your car might be ok for a few days, then the battery will be fully drained due to a ill-functioning alternator. Alternators seem to be going out quite frequently on these models now a days. In fact, I've had mine replaced once already.

+2, check alternator. Loss of power steering is rarely (if ever) just a battery issue.
