^^^ wow thats sick but i feel like it defeats the whole purpose of carbon fiber parts which is to make your car lighter and btw i have my steering wheel wrapped in cf vinyl and it came out pretty good, all for 10 bucks...looks better then this thing http://www.l-tunedparts.com/product/?id=2957 , which kinda reminds me of a transformer..or u can save u money from buying the steer wheel and wrap ur entire car in carbon fiber vinyl hahaha

And while carbon fiber parts can be used for weight reduction, they have a certain aesthetic value as well. That's why you see CF foglight covers, steering wheels, paddle shifters, A/C vents, dash overlays, etc. My CF body kit doesn't weigh significantly less than a non-CF kit, but I like how it looks.

I have this CF wheel in my car and it's very nice. Matches my IS-F interior perfectly.

I'm wondering if these are painted real CF or the same textilium stuff Lexus uses?
I ask cause I worry about fading.
Like these intake pipes in this pic below. Notice how over time the intake pipes have turned yellow (green in the pic but it's due to camera) the CF around the engine is brand new just installed.
But the CF on the intake pipes has been on the car for 6 months.
The intake pipes were not cheap and they are real carbon fiber. I don't want my silver CF pieces turning any color.

That stuff looks real dude. I have seen a yellow cf and other colors. I have also seen the clear peel off. I guess it depends on the maker and how you take care of the pieces. Are you worried about the steering wheel or parts you are gonna get in your Benz...when you get it?
