Conservatively styled cars that try to be sporty often get a bad rap in the industry (or little attention). I wouldn't call the IS conservative, but it does land on the lower end of the spektrum compared some other offerings.

I'm not a 2IS fanboy... well... maybe a little 
My gf asked me the other wk: If i were hanging from a cliff and lexi was hanging from a cliff who would you save?... I took a long pause and said, i would pull the lexi onto the ledge and then fall with you 'lovers suicide'... well~ that was the wrong answer

About the hate, 'you know you're doing something right when you have haters'.

If you thought that was bad... imagine what would they say if you've gotten an IS250. You don't get other car fans dissing you... you have fellow lexus fans dissing you.
There will always be haters as other say. But it doesn't matter what they think... as long as you like you car.
Hell I love my car and it is way FASTER than my previous car. It feels like I'm in a quad turbo car!
By the time I hit 60, my previous car is still at 20 mph.

you 250 guys stop... the majority of us treefiddy's do not 'hate' the twofiddy's... there are only a vocal FEW, maybe less than 5 guys here that always bash the 250's... (my 8888th post )

TBH, I don't care much for Audi's either. They're great until your factory warranty goes. I might have taken a more serious look at them, but the long term cost of ownership shoots it out my budget. I have respect for people who buy them, they do feel great to drive (for a while...
