Exactly this is a rant and your opinion. You can go to an outside source to get an extended warranty, try Fidelity, they work with Lexus.

I am tempted to close this as I don't see it going anywhere

Ohh, quit whining... I already told you that you probably won't need the warranty anyway... :-)

Ya maybe they are having a few recalls here and there who doesn't but at the end of the day it's still Is Toyota which are one of the top most reliable cars on the road. My friend has a 335 and has been to the dealer couple times already because of sensors going out.

I 100% agree...as I work for Toyota, it is hard for me to read stuff like this and keep my cool...

I also agree with calling Fidelity...1-800-327-5172

So basically you want to get extended warranty when it's already out of warranty? ugh
But I'm sure you won't need it. I did my recall out of warranty.

The accelerator gets stuck if you're a moron and your engine will self destruct if you have horrible luck (0.2% are affected).

Well, I am 50 days outside of the bumper to bumper, as it it expired 50 days ago. Lexus will not sell me a warranty. I guess they think the 32k miles 2006 IS350 is too much of a POS to actually cover....

I should have bought a damn Kia.

Right--when something not recalled breaks and the car is out of warranty, it's called "cost of ownership". If you are really THAT concerned, you should think about selling it now.

I'll gladly take this "POS" IS350 off your hands so you won't have to bare with the terrible quality anymore.

Aside from the recall, you don't mention any actual issues with your car. Is this whole rant because Lexus wouldn't let you buy an extended warranty for an out-of-warranty car?

Take your pity party elsewhere. As you can see, no one is showing any sympathy.

sounds like another 2is owner with a false sense of entitlement. if it really bothers you that much, feel free to trade it in for a kia. otherwise, make the best of a not-as-bad-as-you-might-be-led-to-believe situation and TRY to enjoy your ownership experience...

that is, unless a kia really appeals to you, in which case you should've bought one of those to begin with.

I'll take your POS 350 anyday. You would look cool in a Kia Soul
