I , very very rarely (maybe 4 times total) have the exact same thing happen on my 07 is250. It's so rare that I dont worry about it. I stress for about 10 minutes when it's happened then forget about all about it.
i've had it too on my 07 IS250....freaks me out and they have yet to fix it either.
It's quoted at 16.0 hours. It's almost twice that for the LS.

I imagine there'll be a bit of time to get the parts/training out to the dealers... then it sounds like it's time to schedule the repair for a Friday and take a nice long weekend road trip in the free loaner... labor day is looking good for this
Here's a definitive LIST of the VIN's in question.
Hmm, so they increased the spring wire diameter from 3.3 to 3.4 mm in August 2008 and then from 3.4 to 3.5 mm in September 2009. This recall only covers the 3.3 mm spring, so why did they make the second change if 3.4 is being deemed safe? Or is it?
I'm not going to worry about it. If you do, and get it fixed. Let me know what the problem was haha.
mine has done it at least a dozen times since 20k miles. i had the top cleaning done for the carbon already and it did it again twice two weeks later so i'm really doubting that's the real issue. it goes back to lexus next week for their head diagnostic tech to take a look at it. they also mentioned this recall and are beginning to wonder if the 250's should be included as they are also seeing the same symptoms in them.
I just topped 79k on my 06 350 and the first time it stalled was this past weekend right after I installed my f-sport intake. I started it up, then it shut off, but started right back up without a problem. I figured it was something I did, or didn't do. otherwise the car (excluding the radio issues last year) has been flawless.
Like many of you, I love this car and could care less how many recall notices we receive. I'm keeping it for 500k miles, I hope.

Did you disconnect the battery when you installed the intake?

Please keep us posted with what they tell you. I am wondering as well if there is a different issue with the 250's idle since the top engine cleaning did not work on my car as well and my problem began after 10K miles.
I disconnected the negative terminal. Would that matter?
When you disconnect the battery (even one terminal) it resets the ECU's memory...it will need to re-learn things like the idle, shift habits, etc...that is why it didn't want to start that time...I am sure it works fine now
correct, it works perfectly now. I didn't notice this before when I've disconnected the battery in the past. regardless, excellent car, wouldn't change a thing, except more mods done at someone elses expense.
