Mine does this **** all the time. I don't even use CDs anymore. But it tends to happen when you hit bumps that rattle your car or try pressing your right knee into the panel and it will probably eject it that way too. It seems there's some type of issue. I've had this problem consistently since 07.

My wifes IS has the same problem. Our's is still under warranty so as soon as we ge the appointment set, and they figure it out I will try to let you guys know. Ours is identical to what lexy (above) described, hit a bump, and the navigation says auido off, and ejects any cd's that are in the player.
Hopefully we can ge this problem fixed sometime soon.

^that all depends...obviously it will if you have a 128kbps mp3 via the headphone jack lol.
I am having this issue too, I dont listen to CDs but when I have my Vais ML+ on its technically in CD mode so thats when it happens. I have to hit load or it will eject all my CDs out. Does anyone know if the extended warranty from Lexus covers the CD Changer?

well, the bitrate of MP3 is from 32kbps to 320kbps being the max. It's very hard for me to tell the difference, listening with headphones, between MP3s and CDs at 192kbps -- though anything lower than that I can tell the difference most of the time.
There are results from ABX testing that with very good headphones and if you concentrate very hard, you might hear some differences in certain kinds of music -- I think it's very hard to hear any difference in a car with MP3s at 256kbps or above, but the choice of encoding program of MP3s is important (LAME is the best program at it I think). http://www.head-fi.org/t/431522/abx-...s-flac-results
