I didn't know stock muffler could be this shiny. Why don't they come with the car looking like this instead of all dirty?
Not sure why, but all it takes is sand paper and some polish.

if you want the quietest exhaust, just goto midas and get some stock civic muffler welded on, cut the tailpipe and put on your own tip~

That looks very good. I want to do this now. I didn't want an aftermarket exhaust system but yet I want something to make it look a little better. This seems like a pretty good solution for me since I still want my car quiet.
How long did it take you to polish the mufflers?

I can't imagine how long it would take using your hands to sand it. It took me a couple hours to sand it with an electric sander for both sides.

Oh, I have no intentions of even thinking about doing it by hand lol. That would suck.

you COULD also, if you wanted to save money, but want a bit more sound
get bigger tips, and cut the resonator off
would give the illusion of an aftermarket exhaust

i did this to my IS250, put 4" tips in, but they stick out too much if u looks at em from the side, but even from 3/4 view its ok
should i spend another 100$ to get 3.5" tips and shorter ones while im at it?
thanks
