Default 2009 or 2010: help me decide!

Hey guys, I'm looking to join ya'll soon with a 2009 or 2010 2IS. I know one major upgrade to the 2010 is the HDD based navigation system, but is it really worth paying $4000 more for a 2010 just for this new navi? What else can it do besides XM traffic (which I will never use anyway) and XM weather (which is useless - just check the weather on my iphone)?

Does the 2009 have the USB connection available?

Any other notable changes from 2009 to 2010??

Thanks guys

i know that you can control playback on the navi screen for the USB plug. can you do the same for the AUX plug?

also, does the USB plug charge the device (i.e. ipod) when it's connected? obviously the AUX doesn't charge the device..

The aux plug does not allow you to control the playback. You'd have to control it through your iPod.

The USB plug will charge the device when plugged in.

I think you mean armrest

Thank goodness for the usb because the audio system doesn't work with my iphone 2g (1st gen). I hooked up usb to iphone and I get error code. BT audio doesn't work also.

So I guess that is Lexus way of saying I need to buy the iPod adapter?

in terms of the navigation itself, is it easier/more user friendly interface than the older navis?? is the coloring, or layout any better? I'm sure the touch response is a bit faster since it's HDD based rather than DVD...

besides the xm traffic and weather and its faster response, is there anything "better" with the new HDD navi?

is the 2009 used? the 2010 new? If the 09 is used get the 10. or if they're both used i would imagine that it'd be better to get the 10 since the warranty would be one year longer. What about colors, mileage, etc...

I am comparing used 2009 vs. used 2010. The main deciding factor will be the navi system...all the other little upgrades and such, doesn't affect me much.

Has anyone actually used both the 2009 and the 2010 navi system? Can you compare and contrast them for us??

I should be test driving both vehicles soon, but just wanted a heads up from you guys. thanks.
