Default OEM sport pedals and gas pedal recall

Has anyone gotten the Sport Pedals installed after doing the Accelerator Pedal recall?
I'm trying to find out if the OEM sport pedals work with the new accelerator pedal assembly that is installed.

I'm thinking of getting the oem aluminum sport pedals, but I've been noticing those that got the gas pedal recall done have had it changed to the new IS-F pedal. The kits currently don't look like they will come with that, so is there anyway to change it for the new pedal? If I bring it into the dealership could I be able to trade the pedals?

Or will the oem sport pedal work just fine? haha
Please lmk!
Thanks!

I'm confused by your post. If you have the rubber pedals, the dealer will replace them with revised rubber pedals. If you have aluminum sport pedals, they will be replaced with revised (uglier IMO) aluminum sport pedals.

Okay right now I have the rubber pedals given from the accelerator pedal recall. I want to upgrade to the aluminum pedals. Basically will they be compatible with the aluminum sport pedal kit available currently?

Anyone can chime in? I have a feeling the assembly is the same for the most part and installation should be the same, but I just want to make sure before ordering it.

i dont think theres a new pedal assembly...there just a revised pedal. and plus the only one that requires any effort to put on is the gas pedal. i dont think you'll have any issues.

Still confused, but hopefully this helps: the aluminum sport pedal kit includes JUST the the pedals themselves, you do not change the pedal assembly. So yes, it will be compatible since the only variable here is the pedal. So, the rubber pre-recall, rubber post-recall, aluminum pre-recall, aluminum post-recall pedals ALL use the same pedal assembly. Does that answer your question?

That makes sense. I misunderstood the recall, I thought they also changed the whole accelerator pedal assembly, I guess it was just the rubber part of the pedal itself.
Hopefully they don't try changing it afterwards if they see that the pedal is not the "short recall" one haha.

Ahhh, that's why I was so confused by your post. But yes, the recall only changes the physical shape of the pedals. The recall pedals are uglier IMO. The whole recall is a bit of a farce. As long as you have a >=50 IQ and know how to install floor mats, you don't need the recall. Another part of the recall is changing the ECU so you can't brake and hit the gas at the same time, which I also didn't like (no burnouts?!). So, I opted out of the recall completely.

I'd be very surprised if Lexus allowed any of the Pre ReCall pedals to remain in dealer inventory. I believe the only pedal available from an authorized Lexus source would be the "new" pedal. Private sources would be another matter.

I wonder if I buy it from Sewell or Nigel if it will have the updated accelerator pedal. Can one of the two vendors chime in to let us know what they have in their inventory?

I think the updated pedal doesn't look as good as the original one....how many people on the forum here willing to change to the new pedal?

That floor mat looks like it doesn't cover much in that area. I see dirty carpets in your future.

I went from old sport pedal to new and am happy. After 10 minutes your foot adjusts to a slightly different feel.

Yep I see the same thing as well. However Im probably not going to keep the IS350 after it reaches 100K anyway.
