Default High temperature paint required to paint calipers?

Hey guys,

I'm wondering if high temp paint is needed to paint my calipers?

I want to paint them in blue, but unfortunately stores don't offer the kind of blue I want for high temp paint. so I'm just wondering if I could get away with the regular dupli-color paint...

Thanks in advance.

^^^ yes i used the same thing & have done a track day & the paint, sticker are fine. two days on a road course beating the sheet out of my car with hoosier r6 tires the paint looks great still. If you never track our car the calibers will never get as hot as mine do at the track. A+ for the paint.

Just order it on line. Better to be safe then have your paint look like crap in a week. it is also super easy to do, super easy!

i used engine enamel spray paint(paint and clear).yes it needs to be engine paint so it can withstand how hot your brakes can get.ive seen people brush on the paint and i didnt like it cause it leaves brush streaks but that is my personal preference.

I've done some research on this subject. The consensus seems to be powdercoating>G2>DupliColor>spray stuff. Correct me if I'm wrong.

i prefer those that you brush on... rather than spray though... personally i'll use G2 Color paint... the best is to POWDERCOAT FTW!!~

thanks guys but now I'm confused..most of you said to use high temp paint, however albis350 is using regular paint on his calipers and no issues?

I know rotors get really hot, but do calipers do too?

that's what I was going to do, but the regular paint would be fine with high temp clear even if the calipers get hot?

I have the exact opposite. High temp paint with regular clear. I'll be changing to regular car paint soon though. I don't track my car so I'm not worried about calipers getting hot.
