Ok...lots of codes, lets see if I can help.

01-DE = Slave reset (A slave device has been disconnected after engine start)

01-DD = Master reset (The device that should be the master has been disconnected after the engine starts)

01-E3 = Registration Demand Transmission (The registration demand signal from the slave device is output. Or the registration demand signal is output by receiving connection confirmation signal from the sub-master device)

Have you disconnected the Navigation system for any reason? Or maybe the battery? Hint is that you can get these codes due to low battery voltage as well....

thanks for the reply! so the reason for those codes is purely due to the nav unit being disconnected? i dont believe i've disconnected the unit...? Could these codes attribute to my lack of GPS signal? Are these codes anything to worry about?

Hang on a sec, just trying to understand your situation...just want to know if anything has been played with and now these codes are showing up.

Did the warnings just appear one day, or were you working on your car?

I would check your connections, maybe something has come loose...also test your battery to make sure...this is straight from TIS:

HINT:

*1: Even if no fault is present, this trouble code may be stored depending on the battery condition or engine start voltage.

When you say nav hack you mean...wires cut? or plug in play?

I can't find code 58-13 in TIS, even in the repair manual section....only found 58-11 that is for GPS reciever error, which kind of sounds like your problem. I have searched all freaking day for this code and nothing....

58-11 = RTC, ROM, and RAM of the GPS receiver and TCXO error, GPS receiver is failed.
Problem in Navigation ECU. (Nav ECU would need to be replaced)

Default 58-13 nav error code

Did anybody figure out what the 58-13 nav error code is? I took my car in because my nav system suddenly started rebooting itself repeatedly and now doesn't even come up. If I click menu it says "external system not connected". The dealership said it had a 58-13 error code and the nav ecu was going bad and would cost me $4.6k to fix... I almost threw up in my mouth. Any ideas/advice/help?!

Default 4,6K for Nav.ecu.

For 4,6k for a Nav. unit fix is nut’s! Over the last 4 or 5 years they have gotten really crazy ,there’s
no more 50% MU it’s more like 1000% Now. So now you can pick up either the Dash unit or
The Trunk box ecu. for like 350. I would never have the Dealer
Do anything unless your under warranty! The pass side of my GS 04 cat. conv. was going
Wouldn’t pass emissions ,they quoted 525 for parts and 1700 labor. I bought it online ,delivered for 275 and bud. and I put it on . PIA.
herc.
