Same as for the floor mats as well.

TIA!
I don't think it matter where you purchased or did it yourself. If they are OEM parts, they should replace for you.

Agreed, this a safety-related recall, don't think they want to be making excuses.

Just went in for my pedal replacement & software update. They changed out my All Weather Flr Mats with some thinner ones. I liked the old ones better and demanded them back. Signed a waiver and got them back. Don't like the new ones except for the LEXUS IS on it. Old AWFM a lot better IMO.

Sorry

I only had them for two hours before I took them back and got my old ones back. The new ones have no spillage security... the edges of the mats wouldn't hold a cup of soda/water if it spilled on them. And they are not as deep as the old ones.

I was initially scheduled to have my car in for the recall tomorrow morning. But, then after reading this thread with all the great dialogue regarding it and factory recall information Joe provided made me realize that I should spend more time thinking about wanting it done or not.

Upgrading my car's ECU software is something I personally do not take lightly. This is the brains of the operation. To me is like stripping away a person's memories. The 2IS since day one has been just a tad bit electronically controlling for me. After owning the car for about over 4 years now, I am just now getting use to how it drives, so rebooting its ECU may not go well for me. Yeah, I hear it takes about 2 weeks for the old characteristics to come back, but in my case, it will equate to months considering I rarely drive the car that much in the first place now.

Also, that newer sports pedal "look wise" is just ugly.

Does any one know if the factory sport pkg pedals were made by Denso?

I guess I shall dwell on it more.

Talk to my friend yesterday and apparently the recall doesn't apply to canada YET. Got my low dust brake pads on order tho.
