My 4300K 35 watt Philips 85122+ bulb run on a 55w aftermarket ballast.

In terms of being "too bright at night", the main factor will be your driving light. Parking light emits very little usable light. Fog lights are situated too low to help you see much better since it lights mostly foreground anyway.

Here is my light setup, 6k low, fog, and city lights. It's actually not too bright since I have my bulbs aiming down. My fogs appear more blue because of the overlay.

Although the new bulbs and fogs are brighter & whiter they are not blinding or anything. Infact the pictures make them brighter than they actually are.
Haha, we have the EXACT same bulbs. Only difference is that I have my fogs in a projector housing.

To the OP: Going with 6000K actually means your lights will be LESS bright because 4300K emits the most lumens. The blue tinge of the lights could make you think they're brighter, but they're not. What blinds people is when they put HID kits into their lowbeam reflector housings (designed for halogens), which leads to excessive glare.

Sample pics are below. Here's my lighting thread for more: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...fogs-pics.html

^ Same. I'm happy with them. I've heard Garax is the best for lows though.

I noticed DDM Tuning has 35watt and 50watt options for their HID kits. Which ones do most go with for the fog lights?

question: if you replace LED for DRL, do you give up high beam or LED can handle high beam too?

You will get very little useable light output by installing an LED bulb in your DRL/high beam.

DDM uses 35W bulbs with their 50W systems meaning that they are overdriving 35W bulbs. The bulbs will burn hotter and burn out a lot faster.
