Hi folks, planning on my next rims for the IS, gonna be a daily 18" setup. 18x9 in the front and 18x10 in the back. I wanna run my stock tires, F 225 / R 255. My fenders are rolled alredy, no pull though.
The wheels I want are both available in offsets of 20 and 35. Wich offsets should I chose for my project??
Thanks

I'm thinking about running a 11+35 in the rear. Anybody run a 11 in the rear before, just wondering if I will run into any inner clearance problems? thanks

you shouldn't.

backspacing for 11" +35 is ~0.7" more than the backspacing for oem's (8.5" +50).

Hey guys, moving to a new setup this year. A buddy is selling some wheels with the following spec's

Front - 20x9.5 +41 on an R-Disk
Rear - 20x10.5 +47 on an R-Disk.

From my own maths, it should fit with 225's and 245's on the front and rear respectively. I'm on the standard Linea Corse fitment (19x8.5 +28, 19x10 +42) on coils and I'm almost rub free. Can anyone check if that'll work?

I was looking at a set of wheels but they are very wide. I was wondering if someone can tell me if it will fit.

Its 20x10.5 +50 front and rear
225/30 and 255/30

Will it fit?

[edit]
I know nothing about offset and stuff but I was told that I might need spacers so that it wont hit my suspension? Sounds like a lot of trouble. Also If it help or not, my car isnt lowered and I dont plan on lowering it for a while.

i am on OEM 17" wheels but i don't know the specs. 225/45 tires..
the car is lowered to a no finger gap pic
and it rubs in the front. whats wrong? is the ride not stiff enough? i know i need to heat the fenderliner.. and i think i am hitting the bumber tab.. tho it is not really bad there are some minor marks of rubbing on the fenderliner.

Hello,

19x8 +35 front and rear
225/40
15mm spacer in the front
Stock suspension

Since the fronts are rubbing, I am wondering if I can put 225/35 on them and it'll stop? I might go 10mm spacer instead too.

Im thinking of getting varrstoen 112 or 222.Sspecs are 19x9.5 +12 and 10.5+12. What tire size is best. Does anybody recommend anyone who can roll and pull fenders?

long story short, you're going to run into a lot of issues w/ a wheel that wide up front.

and given the ultra-conservative offset, you may have suspension clearance issues.

jack your car up, remove the wheel, and do an inspection of where you are rubbing. sounds more like the fender liner than the fender or fender tabs.

don't bother with new tires. your problem is the spacers.

and no, you're not going to solve your problems going from a 15mm spacer to a 10mm spacer. unless you have clearance issues, run without the spacers altogether.

you haven't done much reading of the last few pages in this thread, have you?

19 x 9.5/10.5 +12 is 10mm more aggressive than 19 x 9.5/10.5 +22. as such, you'll need to do that much more work.

and check your regional sections for fender modification specialists.

Hi guys,

I wanna get some rims either 19x8.5 (front) 19x9.5 (rear) or 20x8.5 (front) 20x9.5 (rear) but don't know anything bout offsets. Is there a web site you can go where you enter in your rim size and it suggest a offset for you?
I'm trying to go with a conservative flush also, looking not to aggressive, something decent that's nice and clean. This is my daily driver car so I also would like to try to avoid any fender modifications but if i had to i would.
My drop will be on BCR coilovers with a 1 finger gap all around.
Can you guys help me on the offset and the tire size? Much appreciated

Hi guys,

I have a '06 IS350 and want to add new rims but don't know a lot about offsets. I was thinking of getting 19x8.5 fronts and 19x9.5 rears with 35mm and 45mm offsets respectively. Would I need any spacers or make any mods? Also, what would be good tire pairings? Would 235/35 in front and 265/30 in rear be a good setup? BTW - my suspension is stock.

Thanks in advance.
