Default Would these tire size give me more clearance?

Hi Guys,

The size of the rims are 19 x 9 offset 35 for the front and 19 x 10 offset 35 for the rear. I am currently running on 245 / 35 / 19 and 275 / 30 / 19. (I personally think these are some big fat tires however the shop insisted they would fit)

The problem is, after raising the front up about 3/4 of an inch, it still rubs when turning or hitting a dip. I want to slam it back down so I am thinking of getting a new set of front tires 225/35/19 (would prefer 225/30/19 but can't seem to find any).

So my question is, would going from a 245 - 225 make any difference since it only reduces the width of the tire, and I think it is the height that is causing the problem.. In addition, would the 225 tires need to be strecthed to fit a 9 in rims?

any help would greatly be apperciated.

thanks in advance.

Yeah 245 35 i would use for the rear set and 225 for the front it a little stretch not that much. I myself running 235 35 up front on my 19x9+35.

Thanks Laobo979.

since we are running on similar offset.. i want to slam the front back down.. running on a 225 35 19 would not allow me to do that since I am still rubbing after raising the front up about 3/4 inch with 245 35 19 set up..

so is my only option to strectch the tires then? i would really rather not tho..

I'm wondering if this setup would rub:

19x9" ET +38 with 225/35r19 front
19x10" ET +40 with 255/35r19 rear

BTW car is at stock height.

not when you are trying new **** and pushing the envelope on fitment. the cost alone was worth every broken neck that it caused.
try and guess first try which tire would fit the 12" wide wheel in the back. and tire brands stretch diffrent. static btw. no bags there
