insert only or you have to replace the entire wiper? Per dealer our car have specific insert made so can replace the insert (rubber piece) only to keep OEM.

My last order of wipers from Sewell was $25 with shipping. But I found another place that was even cheaper. Someone linked it here on CL--I forget the site because I have it bookmarked at work.

Wondering if anyone has experienced this issue with OEM wipers. Either during freezing rain or bad winter storm, water finds its way underneath the outer plastic shroud and freezes, preventing the wiper from fully flexing and blade making full contact with windshield. Removing ice from the rubber blade does nothing to fix this problem since the ice is behind the rubber insert/blade. I've got the heated windshield option, unfortunately this does nothing to melt the ice stuck inside. If the temps remain freezing it could be days before the ice melts and the wipers function properly. Is this to be expected or is something wrong with my wipers?

Read in the 3IS forum that the best alternative to OEM Lexus wiper blades are the the Genuine Lexus Sightline Blades you can buy at any Lexus Dealer. Would these solve the problem?

I am not interested in changing to non-OEM.
