So long...
**Photos added to end of thread for anyone interested**
This evening I traded in my Lexus IS350 for an Infiniti G37S. Just a quick note to say thank you to everyone over the past four years for providing valuable information and feedback that really added to my ownership experience.
For those interested, I have the following pros/cons in comparing the two cars after my brief time in the G37.
+ Lexus
1. Lexus leather is better, hands down. It's harder in the Infiniti.
2. Lexus service is better, with better facilities.
3. I think the IS350 may have a quieter cabin at high speeds.
4. ML audio FTW.
5. Interior materials are better.
+ Infiniti
1. The paddle shifters SHIFT when you use them, and with no delay.
2. Driver's seat adjustments are great, and the seats are more supportive than the IS.
3. Bigger cabin is a plus for those of us with kid(s).
4. One extra forward gear (7 speed transmission).
5. Surprisingly, interior fit and finish is better than my IS was.

congrats on the G37 sir! the interior and larger rear space of that ride are great factors, especially considering the kids. what color did you end up choosing for your G37 and what options did you get? im not too familiar with infiniti, so i was wondering if there was anything really comparable to the ML of lexus in terms of a premium sound system.

- Rotating headlights on cornering - can't remember what it's called; and
- Ventilated seats.
Options unavailable on the IS that I have on the G37:
- Driver's seat had manual thigh extension and power torso and thigh support adjustments, which are very nice;
- Traffic and weather through the NAV (does the 2010 IS have this now?); and
- Viscous LSD.
Other than that, there's a lot of parity. Infiniti's response to ML sound is the "Infiniti Studio on Wheels" system, which I did get. It's 10 speakers, a couple of 10 inch subs in the back, etc. B(l)ose created the system, but it actually sounds pretty solid for stock. It does not have the clarity of the ML sound, but it has a lot more punch.
Thanks for the positive feedback!

Congrats! I have been a Nissan/Infiniti fan since 98' when I purchased a 300ZX (used). I loved their designs, quality, and engineering. Yet, ever since Renault took over in 2003, all that went out the window. I still think Lexus has great interior quality (next to Mercedes). The new G's are sweet rides, and come with a lot of goodies for the money. Enjoy and be safe!

congrats on the new ride
I came from G35, and I loved driving it every second
there are lots of useful information from G35driver.com
you should definitely go explore and have fun with the car
don't be upset when you find out that you can't really do anything to beat heavily modded G37
