06 IS250 Parking brake light won't turn off
Hey Everyone,
My wife has an 06 IS250 AWD with almost 100,000 miles on it. We use our parking brake regularly, but shortly after we bought it, the light kept staying on. Even though the brake is released and not working, the light stays on. I have tried prying backwards on the brake pedal with my foot, but that doesn't even work. Is there an easy fix to this? I am pretty handy with working on vehicles, but don't really know where to start.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

mine stayed on like that a few times. i pushed it down and released it 3 or 4x's and it went away. from time to time it would do it when my grl would drive it, but i noticed it was cuz she would push it down way to far down sometimes it was difficult to release
