Completely unacceptable........terrible accountability if you asked me!

Just wait until the CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index) survey....Dealers do not like negative reports, they get hit hard!

You only get one original paint job, after that any paint that is not O.E.M (factory) is more susceptable to chipping and pitting.....I would definately be dissapointed like no other!

Ask and see if they will give you a new bumper that is already painted off of a new vehicle that is in their inventory. Down time is minimized, no repainting any parts on your vehicle, just a quick R&R of the front bumper. I think that would be the best situation possible if its a good match.....JMHO

Glad to hear of a reasonable outcome. Good advice on checking car before driving away.

the dealer i go to, newport lexus does that they mark it on a sheet of paper they give to the service guy.

that sucks man, but the rear isn't that bad looks like it can be polished and buffed out.

Wow the front is pretty bad... its good to hear that they are takin care of you though. All dealers should do an inspection of the cars before they responsibilty. They probably knew they did that was jus hopin u didn't see it.

the back doesnt look quite as bad. but for the front i would raise hell too. 15k and 30k i dont think is enough compensation. i would ask for a new bumper entirely

Yes I remember the story somewhat, and the events that led up to the damage, but never the outcome.

They are replacing the front bumper with a new one, but the idea of the car being in the bodyshop sucks. It's already done so not much I can do I just want the car out of there before they do anymore damage. I also ask if I can get the GFX kit in lieu of the services and they agreed to it. I hope it works out they promised the car by Friday...we'll see

i think getting the GFX is a good compromise. hope to see the car out and about again!
