Im trying to figure out if i want the drop top audi or the sedan, lol. I think i need some convertible owners input here. How many times do you actually drop the top?

Regarding convertibles, even in sunny CA the top is down less often than not. I tend to consider a convertible as a nice 2nd/3rd car.
Don't expect the gas mileage difference to be significant enough to be a deciding factor between the Lexus and Audi.

True true, but I'm looking at the AWD model of the A4 cab. Still gets around 35 on the highway and you can tune the stock ECU to put out up to 270HP on their mighty 2.0T engine.
Another thing i think i need to look at is that i live in Minnesnowta. More rainy and wintery days than sunny. But it sure would be nice to soak up the rays with the top down on a convertible!

But really, all these cars are pretty fuel efficient, your driving habits will make MUCH more difference in how often you're at the pump than the score on the EPA test will.
At the end of the day you're still spending a dollar to save a dime. AWD A4 vert vs IS250 AWD? #1 you'd be buying the B7 A4, they don't have a B8 A4 vert - it's an A5 that starts at $42k. The IS250 AWD starts at $36k. All to save a few hundreds dollars a year?
If you're buying used, the Lexus is hands down the better car. Audi's are much better today than 5 years ago, but they still get electrical problems.
Also consider where you live and park your vehicle. I've had friends with convertibles who've had their roof slashed to steal change out of the console.
IMO, choosing to purchase a car based on it's MPG when the numbers have such little difference is dumb. Pick the car you like best.

heyy whatsup man. I have an 09 IS350. It is def a fun car to have. I get about 26mpg on the highway and i drive the car i dont baby it. It will def give you the back to the seat adrenaline rush that you like. I would definetly suggest the 350 if it is an option.
