If you can get glossy clear coat to be glossy, even with polishing... I don't know who can help you. Lol

Did you buy GLOSSY clear coat and not MATTE clear coat??? Otherwise I can't help.

Oh man. Should have just tinted it with film. A good wrap shop would have taken on the job for 120 and it's fully reversible

please view my pics above...

what are the steps i should take now that i have dull and faded looking lights...

do i use goo gone and start over from step 1...
do i just start again by wet sanding these dull lights...
or can i skip some steps and just apply several high gloss clear coats...
or should i just get light restore kit and add shine to them...

Goo gone isn't gonna take that off. You can try some compound, then polish to see if it can get some gloss to it. If not, you can start over by using some 1500 grit sandpaper and sand it down til you basically see red again. Then go over with 2000 and buff it out with compound to get the shine back

Sounds like ur about to have a panic attack lol

You'll NEVER be able to polish matte black tint to a gloss finish

Like someone else suggested, u'll need to repaint them with a gloss clear and actually wait for it to set

Do 2 light layers, 1 heavy layer and you'll have to wait 24hrs for it to set and gloss over. If you buff/sand/polish them down within 15mins, you're actually taking the gloss off again.

Last two pages gave me anxiety lol I feel for ya brotha especially when you recognized that just wrapping it was fully reversable.

I've never looked into this process... but it sounds like there are no do overs? No take backs... no sikes?

I know where your at and the frustration, you should be able to wipe that back down to clean plastic with paint thinner/mineral spirits or gasoline and start fresh... Id def recommend pulling the lights off the car first

after its back to bare plastic lens, use the plastic polish to give it a shiny and smooth surface to work with! I'd then use my wide 3M clear tape to cover the reverse light and cut out to keep it clear and bright, peel off excess, I've done all my cars with VHT NightShades for 12$ a can and have held up excellent for years... Make sure you have the lens wiped clean and dry of any moisture, using only the VHT Product apply nice even coat somewhat thick to the point of where the lens will look wet and shiney, let it dry (it dries exactly as it looks, and if you desire darker level of tint, let it dry for up to 30 Minutes, Repeat Process for 2nd coat, after 2nd coat should be quite black and quite wet!!!
