Default my new IS

Just got an 2008 is350. Any tastefull modification suggestions? I am also going to change the fog lights to yellow any suggestions on what brand or where I can find them?

mmm not sure about the fog light change but you could tint your windows, get red outs on your tail lights, lower the car with some springs, get a roof spoiler...lol there are a lot of tasteful mods you can do.

i am thinking about the yellow fogs because i got my is350 in the starfire pearl and i saw the same color is-f with the yellow fogs and it looked amazing.

Jsut get some overlays on the fogs,... That looks pretty good to.. Welcome to CL.. Enjoy your new toy LOL..

ohh I will lol. but will yellow overlays look the same as the yellow bulbs?

Not really. Id do it right the first time. Get HID fog lights.

3000k hid kit from hidextra. they are in the vendor forum. like 65 or so shipped.

if you want bright and pale yellow, get hids. if you want deep golden yellow, get luminics or nokya bulbs.

i've got luminics. love the colour.

please dont use overlays, ftl , i've had a pair of nokya bulbs in since 07, still working great

I heard that if you install anything over the wattage of the oem fogs then you will burn the housing is that true?

Yellow HID should improve light output. Those should be enough, no need for overlays.

stay away from 55 watt HID kits, they will melt your housings. stick to 35 watt

i've had my bulbs about 5 months. no problem.

llama has had his for 2 years and no problem.

just get some dielectric grease and smear it between the contacts.
