Default New Owner - 2010 SGM/Black 250 AWD

Hi all I've been lurking here on & off for awhile & finally pulled the trigger 2 days ago. Long story short I started out wanting to get a 08 F for myself this spring, but after months of thinking (or flip-flopping) I didn't even score a 350 & end up w/ the 250 AWD for my wife as we needed a daily commuter first for her like almost immediately.

I'm up in Vancouver, BC. Got a fairly basic pkg (base + leather & moonroof) only. But believe it or not Lexus Canada & our government rips us off quite a bit more & for the price I paid I could have a fully loaded IS-F out the door in the USA damn it!

Oh well at least I finally joined the owners club. This is our 1st Lexus & we think we're gonna love every bit of it!

vancouver too, canada prices do suck. ~10k premium on is350 over is250. while US premium is only ~3k.

which dealership did you go to and any mods?

welcome to CL! hope you're enjoying the ride. certainly AWD helps big time in the snow, but sucks to hear that you were paying so much more when you couldve gotten an F. a 250 AWD is nothing to be down about though. very reliable. very luxurious. and most importantly a lexus. please post pics!

Hi all thanks for the kind words. I went to JP Lexus in North Van. Very nice sales team. I actually went for the 4yr/120,000km ext warranty & did paint & undercoating (I know, CL members will grill me for that lol) so may be that's why they were extra nice . Oh well I figured it's my wife's car & we will probably have it for many years.

It is replacing our 16 yr old trusty 1.6L 1993 Honda Civic Si Coupe (is that EX for the USA folks?). The damn car was so reliable & never broke down so we never replaced it till now & have missed out on a few nice rides along the way possibly the 1IS or 1TSX lol.

We will prob keep this one all stock. When I get my new ride in a couple yrs it'll be a diff story.

No photos yet as it has been raining every bloody day in Van since we got the car.
