i myself dont care for the disco ball LEDs that so many of you have/also the bug eye effect when off, i have a drl type thats only one yellow smt *no disco ball/bug eye * As for the flicker? because i have only 1smt in the housing i LOVE THE FLIKER, its like a mini HID

Hey just curious why you would do LED DRLs and lose the high beam function versus just using a white halogen like this:
http://www.racinglab.com/piaa-hb-10925.html

color temp is still yellow compared to 6000k but it's much better than stock, still a white color (stock xenon HIDs are 4300k whereas these are 4100k, pretty close), and since DRLs aren't on at the same time as the lows, there wouldn't be any mismatch... also it seems there is more than one complaint that the v-led drl bulbs vary in brightness... avoid all that plus you preserve your high beams when needed.

^^^ LED drls are just so much sexier love the 6k-ish color to them. no matter what hallogens will be a tad yellow due to 50% power in drl mode, boooooooo.

i've seen people w/ halogen bulbs in their DRLs that where completely blue(i mean the bulb is blue, when the bulb is off the whole reflector housing looks blue from the reflection), and they still look yellow in DRL mode. but when you turn the hi beams on the color is fine. i live in the city and i never do any mountain, rural driving so i could care less about hi beams

Only question then is what is the "best" LED DRL?

Oracle, aka AAC is being lame and they take forever to deal w/ and process your order. they have been known to have fitament issues, nothing that some shaving can't fix. but i think they fixed it because my last set i got from them fit perfectly fine. i went ACC because of the blue LED color they offer, where V-LED where i usually go to get all my leds(interior, puddles etc.) only offers a real bright white LED. i think those are the only 2 real choices, i'm sure you could go with some ebay ones also if you wanted

Also for the DRL modules, don't get Oracle, AAC's fix, the module is too big and won't fit inside the cover, go with V-LED's drl module fix

I've found my high beams useful for back country roads/mountain driving. I wouldn't say I required it at the time, but the high beams definitely project the light further than your HIDs.

I was unaware that the LED change on the DRLs causes a loss of high beam function.....weak. Guess I'll scratch that mod off my list.

You don't like the multiple LED lights but you do like the flicker of a single LED
And you don't like a disco look yet you like the flicker

judd has the same ones i use, infact he referred me to get the ones he got. i really didn't need the high beams cuz i travel most of the time in the day and if i do go out at night its mostly well lit. i needed something to delete the drls and this was a solution for it. i might try the disco ball but right now im happy with wat i got. the only thing is now i wish i had the blue led instead of white.
