i installed the unit over a week ago and no airbag light right? well i got in my car tonight and everything on the gauge cluster is ok and then i look down and i see the airbag light turn on! over a week after i install the unit! i guess i spoke too soon and forgot to knock on wood :-/

Oh no damn. Edward from FlyAudio called me yesterday and asked me if I can send my stock radio unit to them so they can check all the problems like radio frequencies, temperature, airbag etc. So I will be shipping that soon..Hopefully all of us can benifit from that...

why cant they just check one that they have in stock? since all of the ones they have already shipped out are doing the same thing...

that's why i'm not a big fan of being the early adopters of brand new products. i like all the problems to be worked out before i get it. like a new generation of car, new electronics, etc.

I think I'll be the first or second to have Automax install it.

Not to put pressure on them, but they seem legit based on their rep alone. I'm concerned of course, but I have faith in automax for a good installation.

If you guys are worried, just drive to Tustin and have them do it.

I did the reinstall last Monday with the replacement unit. The first thing I did was put the car in drive so I could take out the center console trim around the stick. Then I unhooked the battery, pulled out the bad unit, put in the new and put everything back together before hooking the battery back up. Airbag light was still on.
