FlyAudio In-Dash Multimedia GPS Navigation System for Lexus IS250/350

OEM nav was about $2550 as a Lexus OEM option. ML audio and Nav was $4K since it uses different components for the entire audio system and 6 disc indash DVD player also has video out. This unit is $2K so there isn't much of an advantage in going with this unit unless you've purchased your vehicle used w/o the OEM nav.
You mean besides the fact it includes the ipod integration (which lexus wants another $300 for and then you can't have XM at the same time), plays music off USB sources, plays DVD movies without dropping $4000 on ML, can feed rear video sources, doesn't cripple itself when you put the car in drive, won't cost $300 a year to update maps, and does text-to-speech.
But yeah, other than that there's not much it has over the more expensive, far less functional, OEM unit!
Oh, and to OP... does it do realtime traffic? That's another feature that Lexus laughably left out of the OEM offering until the 2010 model, so that'd be another plus in its favor if it does...

Lots of great discussion going on here about this product, it's great to see!
The TPMS module will be available sometime in early 2010. They are still developing it for US cars, it is working fine in the European/Asia markets.
Fly Audio is very serious about maintaining MSRP pricing to protect all of there retailers and we certainly appreciate that. The good news is, our group buy price is significantly less than MSRP!
We are really excited as well Mark!
I think as more of these systems get installed, people will start to see how capable this system is. The ability to upgrade the software and download different navigation software are really cool features.
Thanks for the great write up!
Thanks for the video djsai!
Do you know if that DVD slot plays data media? Like avi movies or mp3's. (I know you can play those from the SD card and with a USB flash drive but I'd like to know if it does it by DVD disk as well)
What module do you need for the TPMS monitoring to work?
Thanks again.

The only problem I have is my airbag light came on after I installed this unit..Automax is there a way you can figure out the solution. I tried reseting the ecu by disconnecting the battery but still doesnt work.

When Mark's car is in for the install next week I will look into it. I will find an answer, it's just a matter of how soon I can get my hands on the system and a car to test it with.

I'm ok with it, as long as the airbag doesnt go off when I don't need it, and goes off when it does.

In regards to below: With that being said, I'll be purchasing this!!!
When I installed my aftermarket eclipse double-din unit, I to had the airbag Light.
Either one of the wires was cut or left unplugged. If you have the OBD-reader tool you can figure out which air bag to check.
After that you can reset it, and it will disappear, hopefully!
I'm glad you've enjoyed your purchase and it seems like a decent solution for non-navi ISx50 models.
However, I have to contradict this unit being superior to the OEM nav. OEM Denso Gen V nav is amazing and I prefer it to any other navigation system out there. Its bug free and everything is integrated into it (park assist, DVD playback, climate control, back up camera, Sirius/XM, etc.). Denso Gen V nav is the reason why I went with the Eclipse AVN-6620 for my MKIV Supra.
