Default Thanks to Clearbra

I had my IS for little over 3 years so far.
From the day one from the dealer, I put clear bra on my IS.
Since there were some marks here and there on the clear bra, I decided to take it off and put new one on.
After removal, I was very surprised that there is almost '0' rock chip on the hood.
It still looks like brand new hood.
I just wanted to share this with you guys so that those who may woonder if it really protects the car paint, knows it works.

I wish I have a before and after comparison picture but I don't.
If you want to keep your car for long time and don't want rock chips, you should definitely get a clear bra.

Thanks for sharing. Did you clearbra start to fade or turn yellow for the 3 years on your car?

LOL - I've got a "before" picture without a clearbra, and it ain't pretty. On a black car, it's especially noticeable. Got my bumper repainted and then installed the clearbra. Best investment ever.

Also, I've never heard of clearbra film ever fading or turning yellow.

I remember the older 3M stuff turned yellowish. I've also heard yellow colored wax might stain clear bras. If your car is black though I'm sure you wouldn't notice it even if it were happening.

Nice to see its working for you. to bad it didn't work very well on my friend's IS250. rocks are tearing up his clear bra everywhere =\. he drives from south OC to LA everyday for work. i think over 100 miles round trip. and he's got a few huge gashes in the clear bra that went into paint

If you want a good paint protection film with zero installation hassle this stuff beats ClearBra and 3M. http://www.pro-tectfilm.com/

get ventureshield, it has lifetime warranty against yellowing. and has less orange peel effect than 3m.

My wife said she would rather spend the money getting real bras rather than clear bra.

I had a very light sign that almost became a rock chip, which I think was a big rock that went through clear bra or something.

My car is SGM so I couldn't tell if the color of the film faded or not.

Show her my thread.
I will try posting up some pictures of my hood soon but not sure if it would tell differently.
