Default Favorite Gas for your IS?

I'm coming from a MINI Cooper S convertible to the IS 350 C. The MINI was always very finicky on gas - you could tell a difference going from Shell to Exxon on how the little engine ran. I got to where I would only use top tier (Shell and Chevron) in it to keep it running good.

Is the IS 350 motor as particular on the fuel you use? What gas have you guys had the best luck with?

On a related note, I developed the habit with the MINI of 3K mile Techron Fuel Injector cleaner treatments. Keep that up with the new ride ya think?

TIA,
Tony

when i used Costco gas.. for some reason i get horrible gas milage.. like 18 mpg cruising..

with Chevron i get 18 mph boosting it n 19-20 cruising.. 23 on long road trips.

this is on my S/C GS4 of course.

I have always used shell because my parents told me it was one of the best.

Since day one picking up my 250, I've used nothing but Shell 91oct. Getting pretty good gas mileage. I've used Vallero and Arco with a different car, it burns fast!

I always pump shell for some reason. Any other gas station to me looks dangerous haha

Shell is my #1 choice and then next is Mobil and then Chevron/Conoco. I wont ever use Arco/Valero/No name gas stations.

I always pump Chevron. If I can't find one, my second choice is Shell.

It doesn't matter what gas you use. It's all the same, people are just fooled by the brand name. I use Gulf cuz it's the cheapest by my house. And always premium.

I would bet large sums of money in any sort of blind A/B testing nobody could tell what brand of gas was used in their car as long as it was the same octane/ethanol content

It's like the folks who insist monster cable "sounds" better.

I only buy Shell, Chevron and 76 around here. BTW I've always noticed a consistent drop in gas mileage with costco gas.
