Yea bring it back especially when you paid for it.. The plastic warping.. i never heard of it.. Maybe to a 20 year car? but for a 4 year old ~LEXUS~, doubt it

Plastic warping is like saying the air in your tires go bad and need to be changed every year.

ok the guy told me that he can't adjust anymore because when you drill the holes there is no way to adjust the bumper away from those holes

what i do see tho is that the tape is not sticky at all...what do u guys think? he says the only way to do this now is to use urethene? he says the tape might not help much...

sigh

I dont think that's the case.. This member had the exact same issue as you and got the autowork shop to reinstall it.. You should pm the member..

Where does 'the guy' work may I ask? That way I can avoid that shop.

Good luck with your rear GFX.

yeah my kit was bought from lexus of west minister and it CAME already with double sided tape...but even with the double sided tape it still leaves sort of a small gap...i mean you cant really notice it unless you're juss surfing for small imperfections but if you want GOOD double sided tape buy 3M heavy duty tape at any auto parts store(napa, auto zone, pep boys ect..)i installed the kit myself and you do have to drill small holes to fit the rear lip.holes have to be precise for perfect fitment but i dont think you can fit the rear lip on at all if holes are drilled in wrong positions so it must be right..so i would just suggest you got get that heavy duty tape and retape...this tape is highly recommended also..only double sided i ever use...hope that helps

went to another shop and just got the car back. PERFECT. Here's my story.

I called them before I went to have them look at it. I carefully explained my situation to them and asked for a quote. They said to go in and let them check it first before they give me a quote. Fair enough. I go. The first thing i noticed is that they have a HUGE shop. They do body and mechanics work.

Anyways, the staff are all very receptive and very polite. They took a look at my lip and agreed that no way a lexus part can be this poorly installed. They quoted me $150. He says he understands it's more expensive but he told me why. They guarantee their work is quality and they will take their time doing everything (which is why sometimes they have to book other people on different days mainly because they don't rush cars). They also explained to me exactly what they were going to do. So i leave them with the car and go back the next day to pick it up.

I go back and i see that one corner is fine but the other corner is still popped out. They said they didn't know this happened because before they washed it down it was on. So what they did was they told me to take the car home and come back when I was free so they can cure the adhesive for the whole day. They also told me, don't worry about the money, pay us when you are satisfied with our work. So i dropped it off this past tuesday and picked it up today. well what do you know. it's on PERFECT. no gap on the corners anymore! there is some tiny gap on the back but it's way more than reasonable. I thanked them for the work and paid them.

They were very very nice. Very polite. Very professional. I highly recommend them to people local GTA (scarborough/markham).

The people i met there were Peter, Sunny (the main guy who worked on my car) and Douglas.

All very cool guys.
