how fast is IS350 really?

Pole Position
Intake
Exhaust
Custom mid-pipe
smaller diameter rear tires
1/8 tank of gas
spare tire removed
Jack and tools removed
floor mats removed
passenger seat removed
And a DA well below 1,000 feet sea level (makes a HUGE difference.)

IMO its not how fast your car can run, its all about how good the driver can handle the ability of the car itself. You can run Turbo and everything, but if the driver doesnt have the knowledge or the ability to run it correctly, its practically useless... Remember its all "SHOW" and "NO GO" or all "GO" and no "SHOW".

I also thought it would be possible on a 350 cause of all the easy 12.5's from Hks350 without slicks and on the bottle.

the video posted above is pretty good. that last run by the F was sick, and it seemed like the driver started braking before the finish point. in any case, i agree with Phil888- you better be able to step up. each race is about 90% driver/10% car. its not exactly the car itself that wins the race, its the driver and their ability to unleash its true potential when needed.

The IS350 is exactly as quick as the numbers suggest, of course the older model is quicker than the new model (at least to 60mph, though I think the newer model is very close to identical in the quarter mile). Of course I am glad for this as I think the older model also looks far, far better...not that anyone asked The 2006-2012 350 is neck and neck with the latest WRX Sti, and just a hair slower than the EVO X. Keep in mind, it does this with a traditional slush box automatic (torque converter based, planetary gearing), which although optimized for quick(er) shifting isn't anywhere near these new DCT's, or even the IS-F's quicker shifting auto (though honestly, the IS350 could probably be made to shift quicker than it currently does, considering that the IS-F/350 transmissions are the same basic design).

But the IS350 from my experience and a friends experience is faster than an Evo X stock vs stock. Even with the DCT in the Evo MR
