I own 08 IS350 with Navi. No ML.
If I install SoundLinQ2 (SL2Vi), can I watch DVD movies?

If I do Navi hack (play movies in motion) and install SoundLinQ2 (SL2Vi), will it play movies while driving?

Can SoundLinQ2 (SL2Vi) play AVI or WMA files?

If it lets me watch movies, I think its worth it....

any opinion?

What are you using the Sl2vi with? Your ipod video?

I'm using it with my ipod video and i can watch movies as well. You could do the nav hack, but it will void warranty.

I just have ipod but If this works, I'll buy ipod video. I think its cheaper than swaping to ML system used $800 at ebay (no speakers)
How hard is the installation? is it just plug in and play?

I'll definately buy this stuff.

The installation is plug and play, if you search you can find the DIY on here. It took me about 4 hours of work, but saved me $220 in install costs. You won't be able to play DVDs, but any video that plays on your iPod will play on your screen.

I have Nav with no ML also.

I got the SL2Vi and its an awesome unit. You can play music and movies from ipod/ipod nano/iphone. You can control the music from the steering wheel. You can also play saved movies from the ipod. Installation does take a bit of time, but i'm sure u can take it somewhere local to get it installed for you. They can also do the nav hack since they are ripping out the nav unit. Enjoy and watch the road while you are drive, not the movies =)
