Test drove a Nissan 370z over the weekend...

You guys better go with 370Z Nismo. It looks better and feels better in driving, and stop making Lexus IS350 or what ever is the best car in the world.
Beside it depends on the driver when it's in the race track not the car.
You guys need to get real...

Different car different purpose. Can't compare a IS350 to a 370z IMO. Luxury car with a hint of sport in it compared to a full sport car. It may feel slow but it is just as fast as the IS350 if not faster.

I wouldn't go as far to say the IS350 is the best car in the world. But it has class, room, speed, and efficiency- all in one. I look at the Z and think crude or boy-racer with good power and handling. Two different cars serving two different purposes. The Z should be compared to two-door sports cars, not four-door sedans.

Sounds like the Z hasn't improved much since I drove the 350Z & got into it with a (now banned) member about how much I didn't like the car.
Now a 300ZX on the other hand ... mmmmmmmmmm (but not even remotely the same type of car obviously)

OMG.. It had to be the sickest thing i seen.
It look soo damn aggressive and mean!!!
But it is true about the class.
If u want smooth and luxury the IS FTW
You want speed and able to MOD the Z is for you!
And the G37... They are just PURRTTYYY =]

If I'm not in need for a sedan car I would buy this car as Nismo Version.

and what a piece of crap! The ride is horrible, although some people like to call that "feedback", whatever. The specs say 332 hp, sure doesnt feel like it. Not sure about what gear its running but the IS350 still feels faster. That thing will sound worse than a baby rattle after 30k miles. IS350 definitely > 370z all around. Just my $.02 worth.
You would probably think the ride on a Porsche GT3 is "horrible" too.

iv'e always had sumthin for the 350z n the 370z could look really nice if it's done up well. as for comparison, the IS350 n G37 would be the answer, 370z is a run-down version of the G37 well technically opposite but the Z is the cheaper/track/mod/tuning car w/ a cockpit as the G37 n IS350 are just luxury to perfection, comfortable, convenient, smooth etc. as lexus is the luxury toyota n infinity as the luxury nissan it all makes sense. 370Z will smoke an IS350 its lighter n a bigger engine n built that way..now a G37 n IS350 would be a good race. Maybe an IS370 MANUAL future?! lol but i'd much rather drive an IS over either, i love it.

I think the saddest part of all of this is that you are "forced" to compare the 370Z to your IS because Lexus has no car to compete with it. If you want a comparison, compare a G37 Sedan to your IS.
They are two very different cars and probably for different audiences. Those buying a Z probably aren't too worried about the same things people buying an IS are.
So as many people here say that the interior is crap on the Z and the ride is too harsh, I'm sure you can find just as many people with a Z who say the IS too boring, too floaty, disconnected, etc.

Its pretty simple-
Lexus= Luxury + some sport
Infiniti= Sport + some luxury
Both appeal to different audiences. Both are great brands that produce great cars- its all up to the buyer and what they want.

370Z is not a 'real sports car' it's a sporty car.
GT-R you may have something a case for it being a sports car; but since the new one does almost everything for you, you're not getting the full driver-car connection that a true sports car gives you.
For the record, I think the 350z & 370z are both good looking cars, but I think they suffer from the fan-boy-following that so often goes with the steriotypical BMW group.
