Is it even possible to install it wrong? There isn't any curves am i correct? I think you got bad quality vinyl.
06-08 vinyls are much easier to install, the 09's come in two-piece. i can see how someone can go wrong with this project but not too sure about dull colors
I know somebody in the 626 who can do red outs
(Using oracal vinyl by the way, which is what I have. Granted I have the 06-08 taillights, I would imagine the red is the same shade??)
I had R-vinyl ones for a while, but I didn't like how they came out when I put them on my car. I bought another off brand set for like $7 (I think??) off ebay and had the guy who tinted my windows put them on for me, and they turned out soooo much better. After a year later, they still look really good.
Did you clean your taillights before you installed the vinyl?

I ripped them off before I can take pictures. I know the color does not match perfect but mine just looked dull.
