Hi,

does the side that uses the D4S bulb have a moving projector that functions?

Yes it does...And I believe the connector is not working now, I put a new bulb in to see if it would work as a temp fix, and still no light...unless a fuse is blown out which is the next thing i need to check...

Default Very easy!

took me about 40 minutes..which included cleaning the air box since I had it out. Basic mechanical skills and its a snap. A note..the bolt to remove the washer filler hose is on the top (near the filler cap) not at the bottom.

I haven't had the 'check' light issue, but have only started the car so far (no driving) I wonder if disconnecting the battery before doing the work would prevent the light?

Also, I started on the driver side as it only involved removing the washer filler tube..its actually harder to do the bulb change on the driver side than the passenger side..although removing the air box is a bit more work.but still really easy.

hey fellas, just stumble upon this page because my driver side low beam headlight just "went out". i quote that term because the driver side light actually turn on but a couple minutes later it turn off by itself. The only way to get it turn on again is by turning the light off then turn it on again. So my question is, is it the light bulb problem? or could it be something else? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys! By the way my car is a 2008 lexus is250 AWD.

Most likely it's the bulb.

Hi,

If you want to be certain you can swap your bulbs left to right to see if you can isolate whether the problem is a result of bad bulb or ballast.

No Problem. I figured that you will need to know how to swap out the bulb at some point so you may as well make sure you are getting the component that will fix the issue.
