Wiper replacement
Anybody know how to replace the wipers? Do you have to replace the wiper blade or can you just replace the refill/rubber? I took a quick look and it wasn't obvious to me how they came off the arm?
Here is what I mean by the various parts mentioned
Refill/rubber - the rubber part
Blade -the metal part that houses the rubber
Arm - the part that connects the blade to the wiper motor assembly

You may find this informative ...

It relates to the RX but your wiper arms and blades should be similar.
I use dealer supplied rubber inserts; they provide better wear and last a reasonable time...

i was wondering too, but i'd assume its just the actual blade (that touches the windshield), because the top of the right wiper has the rain sensor (for those of us that have them).

Has anyone fit the PIAA Silicone wiper refills on their stock wiper frames? I really liked those blades on my last car. They put a coat of silicone on the glass and acts better than Rain X. Lasted me over 4 years.

Interesting. The whole reason I use Rain-X is so I don't have to turn on the wipers.

One danger in changing just the rubber insert, as opposed to the entire blade assembly, is that you need to be careful the rubber insert is attached properly and securely without any loose spots. If there are any loose spots then when the blade changes direction, it will produce a squeaking sound because there is movement between the blade and the rubber insert.
I would just go and buy another OEM blade assembly when it's time.
