Based on HIDPLANET they are 3" and one of the worse projectors out there.. Clear lenses are not going to make a huge difference. Side mounted burners are the biggest flaw to our design.

They are 3". I wouldn't waste time modding the lense. The bowl/shield design is where you make your money. It's also where the design of the IS' projector goes broke.

As others have stated, it's 3"
with some spacing, you could probably get a decent blue colorband. However, the width as well as smoothness of the output will still be pretty bad.

Back then I purchase the GS350 projectors which is pretty much the same as the ISx50 projectors but has a 2.5" lenses instead. It was also sided entry for the bulbs.

Here is a picture of it on my first set of retro IS250 headlights. I swapped the OEM lenses with the s2000 clear lenses. No spacing modification, I just dropped it in. So there is only a little bit of blue and kind of a sharp cutoff.

thanks for everyone's comment and feedback, since i'm planning on taking my housing apart i was planning on doing some mod to it and friend of mine suggested that i change the lenses for better output and colors. from what i'm hearing from everyone i think i'll just wait and do a full retro fit.
