Yeah, I have mentioned the rattles a couple times when I went in for service. They threw a 3" piece of black rubber tape on my windshield, but didn't seem to help. Still have what sounds like a rattle in the driver side vent/cluster (which I think there was a DIY fix for that, but not that brave), and the front passenger door. The tried to lube my door seal, and door pocket but didn't make a difference.

I'll be going back to the dealership to do another test drive hopefully in 2 weeks. I'll have to make sure I play with everything this time.

i can say this though. between the two cars, it must be a very difficult decision for a lot of people. on the G37 forum, a lot of people praise the IS350. here on CL a lot of people praise the G37! I guess it's that entire, you want what you don't have thing.

Yes, what you call the landscape view is called “bird view map” by the G37’s voice recognition system. During the day it shows the blue sky in the background and at night it changes to a night sky with stars. You can also change the view angle to vary more of less of this background. Also, any buildings, including those you have put in like your home, show up in 3D mode making them stand out a bit more. It can be impressive.

There were basically 2 reasons I decided to go with the Lexus IS350 over the G37.

1. Exterior Body Style. I don't like the G37 exterior styling (mostly the back and front). The back looks like an Accord, and the front is just ugly (in my opinion, but I'm very picky about how a car looks from the front).

2. Reliability. The Infiniti has made some huge steps forward, and even got a 9 out of 10 in predicted reliability for '08, but I felt (at the time) Lexus had a better track record.

Honestly, a lot of the other features and functionality I found in favor of Infiniti (nav, etc.), so if you are cool with the body style and the reliability of the Infiniti I'd go that direction. :-)

Again, Infinity makes audio componets, Infiniti makes cars. How would you like it if I referred to your car as a Lexis? Don’t they make jeans?

Just relax man. This is a Lexus online forum, not a spelling class.

to the op, I would get the IS350. I test drove both is350 and g37. The g37 feel like it has fake leather and it is just uncomfortable compared to the is350.

lol. Ok, ok. I don't see the big deal. There are spelling errors that happen all the time in this forum, and everyone here understands we are talking about the car (not the audio components). However, my bad...I did misspell it, so I made the correction. Honestly, I don't care what you call my car. You can call it Lexis if you want. It's no big deal.

G is larger and you can get a VLSD in Sport versions (6MT only?). G automatic is 7 speed.

Can't go wrong with either.

Yeah, let's dumb it down now for all the high school harries that will own this car in a couple of years.

+1
Besides, if enough of my fellow Lexus owners start referring to it as a Lexis, I may sell the car.

Moving on before I deliberately start misspelling Infiniti or picking on other people's grammar.

This is a pretty good article from jdpower, which may be helpful (and is at least somewhat on topic): http://www.jdpower.com/autos/powerst...0Sedan/ratings

At the time I got my is350, the new g35 sedan wasn't out yet. If I could do it again, I'd have purchased the g35 sedan. The existence of the 250 model cheapens the whole 2IS line........

the 2IS is marketed as a "sports sedan." how can a "sports sedan" be outrun by v6 camrys, accords, altimas, avalons etc............

the base price for a lexus, ANY lexus, should be $40k+.......
