Default 2008 IS 250 in need of power

I'm in need of pointers, I honestly cannot stand to drive my wifes car, not that it isnt nice, it's just rediculously under powered. Nothing worse than having a nice looking car that cant get out of its own way.

Soo....I have searched without any luck for performance mods and could not find any. I'd like to atleast add 40-50 HP, any suggestions or links would be of great help. Had I been in town when she bought this car i'd have insisted on the 350.

Any and all suggestioned are appreciated. Thanks!!

p.s.. while i'm thinking of it. I'd like to generate a list of options to pursue. Upon doing so i will update this thread with the outcome of any modifications and its actual HP increase or issues i may or may not run into.

Thanks again!

there was Supercharger kit built for our cars by LMS but only 5-6 kits were made... and it was right in the power increase your looking for too...

you could do the JoeZ intake or one similar and a cat-back exhaust...

there aren't much you can do with this car
if you need more power, than it would be better to just save up and trade your car for IS350 or IS-F or just go with different car
all you can do is
intake/exhaust or straight pipe/mid-pipe/headers
and of course
supercharger lol
you should go see iSuxel and ride on his car
my boy says it is FREAKING AMAZING~! so go supercharger lol

Option 1: Nitrous. It'll add 50 hp easily, for less $ than any other option that does so.

Option 2: trade it in for an IS350. The invoice price difference between them new is $3500, and it adds over 100 hp.

That's about it.

Anything else will be WAY more expensive or add a lot less power.

(for example you could drop $1500 or so on intake and exhaust, and you'll add about 15 horserpower... the LMS kit which added 50 hp (for the IS350, not 250) was $6000)

Wow. You don't want to "sift through" comments to find your answers? So in other words, you just want your answers handed to you, without any real research done? Stop being a lazy *****.

You don't care about this site, or the people who run it, but expect others to spend their time formulating and writing responses to HELP YOU, all stemming from your apparent laziness?

God, can a mod lock this thread and ban this idiot?

Wow.

With that attitude, why should people here help you?

Advice (and respect) isn't given, its earned.

And, just like that, you have officially closed your own thread. Good luck with your 250.
