Top 10 wishes for the 3IS:
1) More base hp.
2) Get rid of the ticking/weasing engine sounds when cold and accelerating.
3) Beefier tailpipe tips with a deeper exhaust note.
4) Conceal windshield wipers so you can't see them from inside.
5) Fix shakey review mirror.
6) Make all-season tires more available.
7) More responsive steering with better road feel.
8) Add a medium blue exterior color.
9) Dump the green interior lighting.
10) Faster shifts with the automatic in manual mode.

My personal top 10:
1) Real -cooled- seats (like say, Cadillac uses) rather than just vented
2) Not to dip in the GM well again, but a TPMS system that reports pressure for each tire, not just "Hey, one of em is low, figure it out!"
3) A middle sun visor. Like the GS and SCs had 15 years ago.
4) A nav system from this century, that isn't priced 5-10 times higher than a better featured Garmin.
5) An ML option that plays mp3s from DVD (and include the DVD changer in the non-nav ML option for that matter)
6) Keep the transmission 6 speeds, that honestly plenty... but make it work like the IS-F one (with a real direct control mode and 0.1 second shifts)
7) Let me order the car without a sunroof (without requiring me to get the limited-options X package to do it)
8) More gauges. It's a sport sedan, I'd like to know my oil pressure please. And with a multi-display (or more than 1 with nav) there's no reason I should be able to see oil temp, volts, and lots of other info too.
9) Remote start. Preferably not a dumb system that kills the motor when you open the door too.
10) Dark green exterior. BSP was the next best thing, but I've got friends with 10-15 year old GSes and SCs whose paint I'm jealous of.

I'll jump in on this...
I have a feeling I'll think of something else once I hit "submit"
- Improved TPMS (as above)
- Ditch the green lighting (as above)
- Put a nice clock in the dash
- Improve the Audio/Nav (as above) and provide full iPod integration
- Remote Start (as above)
- Improve Transmission "Intelligence". I feel like its always in the wrong gear.
- Quiet those noisy injectors. My friends always think I have a valve tap
- Put a manual fan speed control button on dash

Told ya... here it is:
All things considered, they're all nits. Not bad. I've driven cars that had so many "only if's" that it was easier to just plain start over
- Activate the auto steering wheel thing every time the door opens, not just when you turn the car on and off

I agree on the LSD.
But why would they add a transmission option nearly nobody would buy that would offer worse mileage and worse performance?
As to the folks complaining about the injectors, there's nothing to "fix"...that's what direct injection sounds like.
As DI gets cheaper every car produced will eventually sound like that, it's a better technology.
and no the 2IS doesn't offer a HUD right now... the '10 RX supposedly does but I haven't seen it in person yet. GM offered a HUD over a decade ago, but it didn't catch on real big... I suppose it might be better now though.
