another front license plate holes thread, but..
i don't know if i made the mistake of using a power drill to remove the screws for the front license plate bracket, but now the surroundings of the holes potrude out from the surface.
is there a way to flatten it out so that when i plug them up they're flush? any other ideas?

A regular screwdriver would not have made a bit of difference. It's the act of tightening the screws down that pulls the plastic outward. I am wondering if some super strong velcro might be a good solution as I have yet to put the front plate on?

Unfortunately, you're not the only one with this problem. Often the dealers will drill and cause this same effect.
As others have mentioned, use a razor blade or exacto knife to take the excess material off your bumper. The bumper plugs (if you're using ours), should cover outwards of the hole by about 1/8" - 1/4", so you should be okay to cut some of that away.
That's how we would install them.

i think i'm over it now and will just put the plate bracket back on, but wanted to know that if this "volcanic eruption" around the holes will cause a problem down the line?
